This paper describes the results of the minero-petrographic analysis of the pottery assemblages of two Kot Dijian (Early Indus Ciailization) sites discovered in the Thar Desert near Thari, in Upper Sindh. Special attention has been paid to the correlations between the fabric identified in thin section and the typology of the vessels, and the similarities/dissimilarities between the ceramics of these two sites and those of Ganero 8, another Kot Dijian site located a few kilometres from the preceding two.
