A new analysis is given to a group of eighteen heads and two fragmentary marble statues, some of them surely Tarantine, and some others probably coming from Taranto. The iconographic and stylistic review allows the author some shifts in the chronologies which have already been suggested and some less vague connections with the funerary architecture of the colony, This depends on attics models and is reflected in numerous images painted on Apulian red-figured vases of the second half of the IV century B.C.
