The author presents the preliminary analysis on plant remains (charred plant remains and pollen analysis) collected from two Late Roman wells found at the excavation of Burgweinting, Bavaria (Germany). The study was carried out in order to reconstruct vegetational cover and agricultural activities at the site. According to the charred remains, the plant cover surrounding the Roman settlement was characterised by a typical deciduous oak forest, mixed with Pinus sylvestrislmontana.
